Does your child love to build? Does he or she enjoy hands-on activities? Enrol your child in your Young Roboticists Program at Au Academy. We teach students to build their own robots and program them to walk and move in extraordinary ways.
This course is intended to help students learn the basics of robotics, mainly through creation of robots and programming these creations to run autonomously. Students will learn to understand the logic involved in this process as well as to work together in teams on a focused goal. Students will learn both about engineering robots as well as programming their use in real-world applications.
First, students will use a “graphical programming” software in order to easily create the programs they desire. These robots also allow for text-based programming; however, it is expected that once the students are comfortable with the logic of the robots and what is involved, they will begin to use text-based programming instead.
Lessons are two hours long every week, with students working in teams that change each week. Lessons will have a ‘Bonus’ activity if time allows.
